8 Super Creative Ways to Use Bitmojis in Your Classroom

It’s about time your bitmoji pulled its weight.

Bitmojis are fun, entertaining, and completely educational. At least they are for these teachers. See how these creative teachers put their bitmojis to work by using them for assessment, classroom management, and more. All you have to figure out is how to get your bitmoji file (it’s easy, we promise). Then you can print it on so many things!

1. Create bitmoji paddles for formative assessment.

We originally saw this idea on Katherine Tovar’s Twitter page. She had upcycled old Swiffer paddles and turned them into formative assessments for her students, and we were impressed.

You can watch the video above to understand how she uses them in her classroom. To recreate this project on your own, you just need to print your bitmojis. Select the bitmojis you want to use and then email them to yourself. Now that you have the file, you can print it out, making the bitmojis as big or as small as you want! Katherine says you can use anything you want for the handle of these, including Swiffer paddles, Ping-Pong paddles, or even Popsicle sticks!

Just a heads up, WeAreTeachers may collect a share of sales from the links on this page. We only recommend items our team loves!

2. Turn your bitmojis into a poster or anchor chart.

We love the creativity of Mrs. Lopinto. You’ll have fun, scrolling through your bitmoji options to decide which ones to use.

3. Print stickers to reward students for a job well done.

Lots of teachers are turning their bitmojis into stickers to give to their students, and this teacher, Little Miss Fiesta, makes it really easy. You only need the bitmoji app, Avery 22805 labels, and the free template. If you want a quick and easy tutorial on this, check out her YouTube video

4. Use yourself as a welcoming face.

Your students and visitors won’t have any doubt which door is yours when you put a giant bitmoji on it. Similar to the other techniques listed, you’ll want to get your bitmoji file so you can print it nice and big. Thanks to But First, First Grade for this idea.

5. Put together an entire staff bulletin board.

Now this is a good way to get your entire staff involved. Pick a bulletin board in the school that could use some love. Then have all of your teachers submit a bitmoji of encouragement. The students will love seeing all the teacher bitmojis together. Thanks for the clever idea, Learn After Reading

6. Reinforce classroom rules with bitmojis.

With so many bitmojis you can choose, you’ll1““““““““` surely find a bitmoji for all of your classroom rules. Thanks for the idea, The Texas Teacher

7. Use bitmojis to give instructions.

This is a fun way to give your students instructions or tasks. If you want to be a little extra by dressing up to match your bitmoji, then go for it. (Kudos to Valerie, this fourth grade teacher who matched hers perfectly!)

8. Give students a special challenge.

This clever idea from In Our Library is a great way to organize a reading challenge. Use your bitmoji, and it would work in any other curriculum, too.

We’d love to hear—how are you using bitmojis in the classroom? Come and share in our WeAreTeachers HELPLINE groupon Facebook.
