We love fractured fairy tales! Reading new spins on familiar stories is a great way to help beginning readers understand story elements such as plot, setting and theme. In addition, comparing two versions of the same fairy tale is part of the Common Core State Standards for second graders.
In this first part of a series on fractured fairy tales, we’re sharing our favorite renditions of “The Three Little Pigs.” Come back all week long to see our favorite takes on “Cinderella,” “Goldilocks,” and more!
Have you read any of these twists on “The Three Little Pigs”? Or do you have any other favorites to add? Please share them in the comments.
