They’re a necessary evil, faculty meetings. They bring everyone together. They create interaction between departments. They ensure that Steve, who hasn’t read past the first two lines of an email since 1996, will comply with important deadlines and procedures.
They are also wildly, painfully, incalculably boring.
Unless your school provides cocktails and live music, I would venture to say that most teachers aren’t exactly thrilled by the prospect of an upcoming faculty meeting.
