Teachers Are Freaking Out Over These Scoop Rockers

If you’re on Instagram, chances are you’ve seen these scoop rockers in action. Teachers everywhere are using them for their classroom library areas, independent work, and center seating. Many of the teachers who hopped on the trend bought the rockers at Big Lots, but they’re also available at Amazon for around $50 for a six-pack.

So what is all the fuss about? Teachers say that kids love to sit in the scoop rockers. They also provide a low-profile, inexpensive option for alternative seating. Here are some of our favorite ways that we’ve seen teachers use the scoop rockers in their classrooms.

As seating for an impromptu campfire…

As a sweet reading nook…

As a spot for lounging with a laptop…

Or cozying up to an iPad…

To learn more about how First Grade Findings uses her scoop rockers, watch her give us a classroom tour.

As a chill hang-out spot…

Or a comfy place to write.

If you’re still not convinced, look how easy they are to store in milk crates…

Or on a wall…

This teacher is giving us serious scoop rocker goals. 😍

Have you tried scoop rockers yet? Or is there another form of alternative seating that you prefer? We’d love to hear in the comments.
