Broadcom MASTERS is the nation’s premier middle school STEM competition. For the first time, finals week will take place virtually. Meet the amazing 30 finalists and learn about their research here.
What kind of science are middle schoolers doing these days? If they’re finalists at Broadcom MASTERS 2020, they’re:
- Using machine learning to predict the growth of wildfires—and COVID-19
- Identifying a more eco-friendly way to do laundry
- Exploring the impact of electromagnetic frequencies on E. coli
- Testing concussion guards
- Determining if the settings of a 3D printer affect its strength
- Examining the impact of vaping on cellular function
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the nation’s most exciting middle school competition—the Broadcom MASTERS—has gone virtual for 2020. And that means for the first time, students everywhere can meet the amazing 7th, 8th, and 9th graders who will be competing this month. So consider this year’s Science and Engineering Project Showcase at the Broadcom MASTERS a virtual STEM fair your class can attend!
