Try This Free Earth Day Digital Breakout for Grades 2-5

Teach your students about the environment with our new Digital Breakout designed just for Earth Day.

Earth Day Digital Breakout Activity

Keep your students engaged while learning about the environment with this Earth Day Digital Breakout. It’s perfect for teaching your students about community service and Planet Earth during this year’s Earth Day!

What’s a Digital Breakout?

Have you heard about Breakout Digital Edu? It’s an awesome, immersive games platform for learners of all ages. In Digital Breakout EDU games, players work collaboratively to solve a series of critical thinking puzzles in order to open a locked Google Forms “box.” The creative, learning possibilities are endless. We’ve designed an Earth Day digital breakout just for your students.

Don’t be surprised if everyone feels a little confused when they start solving this puzzle. That’s part of the way it works. Let your students click on everything so they can stumble upon the answers to unlock the box. Then, debrief with them about what they learned and how they solved the puzzle.

Earth Day 2017 Digital Breakout

Click on the link to the Earth Day activity and share it with your students and colleagues. If you use the digital breakout in the classroom, we’d love to hear about it and get your suggestions for other digital breakouts—either leave a comment on this post or email with your stories.

We hope that this digital breakout engages your students on April 22 and inspires you to create more. For lessons on how to make your own, check out the Breakout Digital Edu website. Also, bookmark this page because we’re planning to make more to give away for free!
