A global climate strike is happening across the world, and students are stepping up to have their voices heard. More than 150 countries are involved in this global climate strike, targeting September 20 and September 27 as days for young people to miss school and protest the climate crisis.
It can take a lot of time, effort, and just overall courage to join a strike—plus some understanding from teachers when kids miss school. So we wanted to take a moment to share some of our favorite global climate strike signs we’re seeing from young people on social media. Here are some of the haghtags being used, in case you or your students want to join:
- #SchoolStrike4Climate
- #ClimateStrike
- #GlobalClimateStrike
- #StrikeWithUs
- #Fridays4Future
- #WeekForFuture
