There’s nothing like a new graphic organizer to make a repeatedly taught topic seem more interesting. It’s like getting a new outfit—it somehow perks things up. Here’s the new “outfit” I made for my science curriculum recently. It’s super-simple, but it’s different from the other scientific method graphic organizers I have. We fill them out as we conduct/watch experiments.
I’d like to try to have my students make graphic organizers for one another and see what kind of layouts and creativity we get. Someday …
