Summer Edward

Summer Edward currently serves as Interim School Librarian at the Lake Highland Preparatory School. She formerly held roles as Managing Editor (maternity leave cover) and Consulting Editor at The Horn Book Magazine, and as an adjunct professor of children's literature at the Community College of Vermont. She holds a master of science in education degree in Reading, Writing, Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania and founded Anansesem, an online magazine that for 10 years covered Caribbean children’s and YA literature. Her reviews of, and commentary on, books for young readers have been published by School Library Journal, The Horn Book, Kirkus Reviews, WOW Stories: Connections from the Classroom, Literacy Daily, sx salon, KidLit TV, the Commonwealth Education Trust, Social Justice Books, and more.
