I will be starting my sixth year of teaching this fall. I teach in New Jersey. I was born in NYC to immigrant parents from India. I started wearing the hijab at age 21, after going through a sort of spiritual awakening during my last year of college. I have 2 toddlers and live in central NJ with my husband and children.
