Lindsay Barrett is an education writer and consultant for various teacher and family digital media outlets, children's publishers and literacy nonprofits. She has 19 years experience working as a PreK-2 teacher, literacy specialist and curriculum developer, and has been a contributor at WeAreTeachers since 2017. She loves being able to make up-to-date information about literacy instruction and children's literature available to busy teachers and families. She's also a passionate supporter of outdoor and experiential learning; she serves on the board of an outdoor learning nonprofit in her community and runs her local school's garden.
