Lindsay Barrett, M.A., Literacy Curriculum & Instruction

Lindsay Barrett is an education writer and consultant for various teacher and family digital media outlets, children's publishers, and literacy nonprofits. She has 19 years experience working as a pre-K–2 teacher, literacy specialist, and curriculum developer, and has been a contributor at We Are Teachers since 2017. She loves being able to make up-to-date information about literacy instruction and children's literature available to busy teachers and families. She's also a passionate supporter of outdoor and experiential learning; she serves on the board of an outdoor learning nonprofit in her community and runs her local school's garden.
