In times like these, we need dogs more than ever. Our furry friends are a great source of comfort for adults and kids alike. Just bringing in the topic of dogs is motivating for kids and promotes the kind of resiliency they need right now. That’s why we’re so excited about these resources from Mutt-i-grees—a Yale-developed social-emotional learning and humane education program from North Shore Animal League America—which are available for free now through June 30, 2020.
What’s available:
You can access the complete digital curriculum for grades PreK-3, 4-6, 7-8, or 9-12 (PDF only). Under each grade range, you’ll find five dog-inspired lessons for each of the following themes:
- Achieving awareness
- Finding feelings
- Encouraging empathy
- Cultivating cooperation
- Dealing with decisions
All companion PDFs are also available for free. We think you’ll like “Mutt-i-grees at Home,” a great resource to send out to your families. They’ll appreciate the focus on daily routines—in the morning, at mealtime, in the car, and at bedtime—as valuable teaching moments.
How it works:
Select your free product and create an account. Once you’ve completed the checkout process, your content will be available under the My Lessons tab.
