Rules for the Classroom Hacks Video Contest
These Official Rules (the “Rules”) govern the Classroom Hacks Video Contest (the “Contest”), a contest sponsored by We Are Teachers, and administered by We Are Teachers. By entering this Contest, entrants are deemed to have accepted these Rules and be bound by them.
Who May Enter
- The Contest is open to teachers, educators, and classroom professionals located in the United States and Canada.
- Employees of We Are Teachers and any of their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling), and any persons living in the same household of an employee of We Are Teachers are not eligible to enter the Contest.
- ENTRIES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WHERE PROHIBITED OR INELIGIBLE UNDER THESE RULES.
How to Enter
To enter the Contest, eligible participants must create and submit an original video as follows:
- Create Your Video: Share your best classroom hack—whether it’s budget-friendly, organizational, or classroom management tips. Keep it under 1 minute.
- Be Real: Talk to us like a teacher friend—no on-screen text or background music.
- Show the Hack: Demonstrate your tip clearly so we can see it in action.
- Submit Your Entry: Upload your video to a platform (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo) and share the link in the contest submission portal.
Important Notes:
- Multiple Entries: Feel free to submit multiple videos in multiple categories (Teaching on a Budget, Organization Hacks, Classroom Management).
- No Group Submissions: Only individual submissions are allowed.
- Original Work: Your video must be your original creation.
- AI Restrictions: The use of AI-generated content is prohibited.
- Submission Deadline: Entries must be received during the promotion period, which begins on March 5, 2025 and ends on April 8, 2025.
Additional Requirements:
- A fully completed entry form must be submitted with the video entry.

- Teaching on a Budget
- Organization Hacks
- Favorite Things
Judging and Prizes
Judging will be performed by a panel of judges selected by We Are Teachers and will be based on the following criteria:
- Connection to the theme (35%)
- Message clarity (15%)
- Originality / creativity (30%)
- Adherence to these Rules (20%)
The decisions of the judges are final.
Winners
- Winners and Honorable Mention contestants will be notified of their selection via email on or before April 30, 2025.Â
- Within 7 days of notification, winners must contact We Are Teachers to accept their prize. If a winner fails to respond within the required time, We Are Teachers reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
- We Are Teachers will post a list of winners on the We Are Teachers website. Winners may also be featured in promotional materials such as social media posts or newsletters.
- Winners agree to cooperate fully for publicity purposes if required by We Are Teachers.
Liability
- By entering this Contest, all entrants agree to release and hold harmless We Are Teachers, its affiliates, and employees from all claims, losses, damages, costs, and liabilities arising from participation in this Contest and acceptance of any prize.
- We Are Teachers is not responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures, or delays caused by events beyond its control that may disrupt, corrupt, delay, or cancel the Contest.
- We Are Teachers is not liable for any lost, late, illegible, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or incorrect entries.
- All taxes are the responsibility of the entrants.
Data Collection
- We Are Teachers takes the protection of your personal information very seriously. Information about contest entrants will be collected solely for the purpose of administering the Contest and will not be used for future marketing purposes.
Other Important Information
- By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to comply with their school’s privacy and other policies, including any policies regarding sharing the student’s work beyond the school setting.
- By entering this contest, each entrant grants We Are Teachers a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide license to use their submitted video entry in connection with We Are Teachers‘s mission and activities, as well as this Contest, in any manner and in any media now known or hereafter developed. We Are Teachers reserves the right to edit entries prior to publication as deemed fit.
- We Are Teachers does not need to obtain additional consent from the entrant for use of the submitted video, and will credit the entrant when feasible, at its discretion.
- We Are Teachers’ decisions (and those of the judging panel) are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
- We Are Teachers reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest at any time if it believes the Contest cannot be conducted as intended, or due to technical failures or other unforeseen issues.
