Red Nose Day in School provides resources to help students understand the issue of child poverty, develop empathy, and inspire them to create positive change. They believe that every child can make a difference, no matter how young. Red Nose Day in the United States is a program of Comic Relief USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We’ve reached the point in the school year where we could all use a little more laughter. You can practically see your students’ minds wandering towards summer, and you can definitely feel their distracted energy.

But what is Red Nose Day, anyway?
Through Red Nose Day, people across the country have raised nearly $150 million to end child poverty. They’ve helped by wearing the Red Nose, making donations and using the power of laughter to bring people together. Money raised supports programs helping children in the United States, in all 50 states, and Puerto Rico.
The Red Nose Day Joke-Ha-Thon helps build students’ empathy while (literally) joking around. Students get to tell and sell their best jokes in their classrooms, schools and communities. These jokes spread much-needed joy and raise life-changing cash for children in need.

When you sign up you will receive a lesson plan that will help you explore how comedy and creativity can make a difference.
