About Me

I am one of the founders of WeAreTeachers, and the CEO. My background is mathematics and computer science teaching, and research. I was the first education technology director for the State of Texas, and have been in sales leadership roles in several technology companies. My passion is my family --- my 8 kids (and step kids), and my 11 wonderful grand kids. I enjoy singing, laughing, dancing, biking, and loving my terrific husband.

I am so delighted to see what is happening with the WAT Microgrant programs.  We just completed one (sponsored by ALCHEMY Systems ) encouraging ideas for promoting Creativity and the Arts.  WOW!  Great ideas came in.  The 10 winners got $200 and a fliip camera, and we should be seeing results very soon from them.
