Welcome!
Help
Welcome!! Please join me in seeking and sharing knowledge for those who teach stdudents with Autism, Aspergers or other pervasive developmental disorders.

I Teach Autism is a group effort; founded by a State Board Certified Special Education teacher who currently teaches a full classroom of students with autism, aspergers and a few other pervasive developmental disorders.  The site’s founder writes “I’ve been teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for years, but it’s been my passion long before I became a teacher to students with autism. Sounds cheesy, but it’s true!”

Our “team” gathers countless autism teaching strategies, free autism teaching tools, printouts, worksheets, themes and lesson plans. In short, anything that can help others reach these wonderful students. We review and determine if content is worth placing on the site.  Of course, we are always looking for guest authors and contributors.  Please feel free to contact us about displaying your work and thoughts on either our blog or in the recommended links section.   We are also looking for experts and others willing to be interviewed by I Teach Autism.

Additionally; teachers, educators and parents with those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder visit I Teach Autism.com to get the latest news and an opinion from someone that holds this topic very close to her heart.  We encourage you to write us, ask questions in our forum, reach out to other members.  Do whatever you need to do to get the answer you seek!

The Problem “It’s too good to be true,” said Dave, grimacing heroically to keep a joy tear from sliding away from his smiling eyes. Shelly, though weak, couldn’t stop cooing to the warm bundle in her arms. It was 20 minutes after Kyle was born. The designation of “proud parents” was insufficient to describe the new sense of wonder, joy, and awe at their...
