Mark Kover: Hello We ae Teachers staff. I am filling out a microgrant application, yet need $750 for the equipment. Is this possible (if my research project is great)?

Cami Eastman: Hi Mark, our grants are only for $200 at the moment. However we do have some bigger grants in the works so make sure you visit the site often or are subscribed to our emails. Good luck with your current microgrant!

Charlene Lee  This is the first time I submit a mini-grant application. I don't know if I can withdraw the application and re-submit it with the changes? I realize after reading that I wasn't too thorough. Any thoughts?

Cami Eastman: Hi Charlene, there are two options for your microgrant. You can submit all of the changes you would like to make to it via our support email (support@weareteachers.com) or we can delete your application and you can re-apply. Please let me know what you would like to do.

National Center on Response to Intervention
“Response to intervention integrates assessment and intervention within a multi-level prevention system to maximize student achievement and to reduce behavior problems. With RTI, schools identify students at risk for poor learning outcomes, monitor student progress, provide evidence-based interventions and adjust the intensity and nature of those interventions depending on a student’s responsiveness, and identify students with learning disabilities or other disabilities.”

Response to Intervention: An Overview
Many school districts are turning to "Response to Intervention" (RTI) to determine which students require intervention and which students need differentiated instruction to meet their individual learning styles and diverse needs. The Response to Intervention approach was authorized in IDEA 2004 to reduce the number of students misidentified as having specific learning disabilities.
Although RTI models may be implemented in a variety of ways, the goal is the same: provide strategies and programs grounded in scientifically based research that will allow students performing below grade level to be successful.
