What is a Microgrant?
The WAT Microgrant program puts resources in the hands of teachers who use their creativity, imagination, and initiative to enrich and supplement the quality of their students' education. To win a microgrant, you simply submit your best idea for a teaching project on a given topic and compete for online votes. Typically, the five to ten teachers who garner the most votes receive $200 to launch their ideas and a video camera share their project. To date, WeAreTeachers has awarded close to 100 microgrants on teacher-created projects supporting teaching green, creativity and arts, digital learning, special education, student engagement, literacy and more.
WeAreTeachers shares every project to inspire our teaching community. This page allows you to search our database of microgrant projects. We invite you to be inspired and to connect with these teachers.
