Special Education Microgrant

Special Education works—one student at a time. Teachers know the impact of these individual efforts is far–reaching.

WeAreTeachers asked educators to tell us how they could use $200 in grant money to make a difference for their Special Education students. Judging from the number and quality of the applications, teachers are clearly passionate about Special Education. Besides benefiting the recipients and their students, every teacher can find inspiration by the hundreds of projects submitted by teachers.

We invite you to meet the recipients and browse the projects.

Cami Eastman  Great article I got from @WeAreTeachers/@PCIEducation on twitter about the latest therapy for children with autism - it uses "intense playing" to help caregivers and parents be more sensitive to their child's interests which in turn leads them to be more connected and responsive to the child which has proven to accelerate development in the child.
