Congratulations to Our Winner, Heather England!
We asked teachers to share how their students would lead the country from the Oval Office and how they would want to change the world, and the entries rolled in! We are pleased to announce our grand-prize winner: Heather England and her third-grade students at Smithfield Elementary. Heather and her class will receive a special Inauguration Activity Day Party, $500 worth of Pearson products, an Apple® iPad2, and more!
Heather’s class earned the greatest number of votes for its inspiring and catchy take-off, “Vote Me Maybe.” Students grouped themselves into four committees, including wardrobe, technology, song writers, and props, and collaborated to practice and perform the song with choreographed moves. Our kudos to Heather and her students, as well as to all the teachers who encouraged their students to stand up for their opinions and share their creative talents.
