ING Unsung Heroes® grants could turn your great ideas into reality for your students. Each year, ING awards $240,000 to K-12 Educators.
Keeping students motivated and away from outside distractions while dealing with shrinking budgets, larger classes, and limited resources takes dedication and creativity. The ING Unsung Heroes program recognizes teachers who make a difference by finding ways to take teaching to new heights and make learning fun. The 2013 application process is now closed to new entries.
The ING Unsung Heroes program invites educators to submit applications describing projects they have initiated or would like to create. Their applications are judged on their innovative teaching methods, creativity, and ability to make a positive influence on the children they teach. It’s easy to apply and best of all, there’s no red tape.
If you’re a full-time K-12 teacher, principal, paraprofessional, or classified staff member in the U.S. with an effective project that improves student learning, you’re eligible to apply.
All innovative programs, small to large scale, are eligible.
(Please note: You do not need to be an ING customer to qualify.)
Each year, 100 outstanding educators from across the country are selected to receive grants of $2,000 each.
Of those finalists, three top winners are chosen to receive additional financial awards of $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000.
Funding goes directly to you and your school.
