Kansas State University offers teachers a multitude of courses for professional development and re-licensure. K-12 personnel also have the opportunity to earn an online graduate certificate related to online teaching and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction at K-State. K-State is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and NCATE.

The new Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) opens a new pathway to elementary teaching for those who have earned a bachelor’s degree and meet other admissions criteria. This pathway to K-6 certification enables those qualified to earn a master’s degree in 12 months through rigorous online coursework combined with field experiences in conveniently located, accredited elementary schools.

Other areas of study for K-12 personnel are in the social justice education, educational leadership, special needs and counseling areas.
