Connect students with science and social studies in new ways . . . through their Sense of Smell!
Did you know that no two people have the exact same odor-identity or "smell fingerprint"? Or that no two people smell the same odor the same way? A rose may indeed sweeter to some people than to others! Introducing NEW Making Sense of Scents teaching tools to help your students discover the science behind "what the nose knows," including how smell enhances memory, how taste and smell are linked, and how their sense of smell is at work all day/every day.
What's more, students will connect smells to their own cultures and cultures from around the world. They'll trace smell throughout the centuries, and learn about their own family's "smell memories."
Making Sense of Scents includes teaching tools for classroom and family activities that are standards-based, ready to-use and easy-to-implement.
